Ivan Toney and Morgan Rogers were among the scorers as England recorded a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City in a practice match on Thursday.
The game, played behind closed doors at England’s Swope Soccer Village training facility, featured the players not used in Wednesday’s World Cup 4-2 win over Croatia and the squad members who did not play significant minutes in Dallas.
Toney scored a hat-trick while Aston Villa duo Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins were also on target as England ran out comfortable winners.
Jordan Henderson, Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Dan Burn, Kobbie Mainoo, Djed Spence and Jarell Quansah were among the players also involved in the training game.
The game was broken up into two halves of around 25 minutes each.
BBC Sport revealed on Tuesday that the Football Association had arranged the friendly to get minutes into certain players’ legs.
Having arrived back from Dallas at around 10.30pm local time on Wednesday, England players were afforded most of Thursday off.
Players were allowed to see family and friends immediately after the Group L game against Croatia, and loved ones were given access into the camp on Thursday to spend time with the team before they start preparations for next Tuesday’s game against Ghana in Boston (21:00 BST).
Captain Harry Kane and manager Thomas Tuchel were among a group of players and staff that attended a baseball game between Kansas City Royals and St Louis Cardinals later on Thursday.
Ask a group of friends and you’ll likely get a dozen different answers. Some insist the bill should always be split equally, others believe the person who sets up the date should pay and despite changing attitudes towards gender roles, many still see a man picking up the bill as a romantic gesture rather than an outdated tradition.

The U.S. has garnered much attention after such a strong start to the 2026 World Cup. But they’ll have to prove themselves against 23rd-ranked Australia.
The Americans are No. 15 in the world, trailing No. 13 Mexico and No. 14 Croatia.
Will Christian Pulisic play vs Australia?
That’s the million-dollar question.
The American star sustained a calf injury in training last week and aggravated it during the World Cup opening victory over Paraguay.

Pulisic continued to train separately only 24 hours before the match. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino will meet with medical staff Thursday night and Friday morning to decide on Pulisic’s availability.
The 27-year-old is doing everything he can to get back on the pitch, per Pochettino. If Pulisic doesn’t play against Australia, he will be ready to compete against Türkiye on June 23.

Bunnie Xo is coming clean about rumors going around she’s dating Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger.
The podcaster, 46, sparked chatter on Monday when, just hours before news broke that her husband, Jelly Roll, had filed for divorce, she shared a TikTok video of herself singing along to Nickelback’s 2001 bitter breakup hit, “How You Remind Me.”
Bunnie (born Alisa DeFord) additionally shared a steamy photo of herself wearing pink satin lingerie at the same time.

“She’s getting her sparkle back ✨,” she wrote atop the photo.
Fan speculation immediately brewed wondering if Bunnie had moved on to Kroeger. Further fueling the gossip was an Instagram video she posted in late May hugging the Nickelback frontman, writing atop it, “The moment I finally got to be back in his arms,” and captioning it “Swoon.”
Bunnie spoke out on Thursday on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, addressing the rumors: “I posted a Nickelback song because Nickelback is one of my favorite bands,” she stated.
“I post this Nickelback song not thinking anything of it, not a shot at [Jelly]. Not even realizing it’s a breakup song,” she added. “it [was] trending on TikTok, so I was like ‘oh f–k yeah, Nickleback’s trending on TikTok, I’m gonna do a TikTok to that.”

And then, “The [divorce] news drops, and I have f–king Nickelback on my page.”
Bunnie stressed that she has “so much respect” for Kroeger, who has sang on stage with Jelly Roll before, and his band. “They’re the sweetest humans ever. I would never want to disrespect them.”
“I get where people are trying to put puzzle pieces together,” she said. “But you’re putting together a puzzle with missing pieces.”

When speaking to reporters Thursday about being a veteran in the NFL, Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner said that he is still pretty young, younger than many people might think.
“I’m 24!” Gardner said on the last day of Colts minicamp, according to The Athletic. “It’s crazy that I’m even being asked this.”
When asked to clarify, the ex-Jet responded by saying, “Yes! You can ask my mom!”

This might come as a surprise, as many sites online — including his profiles on ESPN, Pro Football Reference and Yahoo Sports — list Gardner’s age as 25, with his birth date being Aug. 31, 2000.
Gardner, however, was actually born on Aug. 31, 2001, which is reflected on the Colts’ website and NFL.com.
The two-time All-Pro insists that the 2001 date has been listed on every official document of his since his time at Cincinnati, adding that his driver’s license also confirms his age.
Even the popular football video game Madden had Gardner’s age listed as 25.
“It’s wrong in Madden, too? That’s crazy because I never checked,” Gardner said. “Because when it comes to the paperwork and everything I’ve signed, it all says ’01. So, I don’t know where or how it got messed up unless people just get it straight from Google.”

It is still unclear where the bizarre mix-up originally stemmed from, with Sports Reference, which operates Pro Football Reference, telling The Athletic they typically review a school’s media guide before verifying with multiple reputable sources.
Until recently, Wikipedia listed Gardner’s age as 25 instead of 24, so it could be likely that sites got the false information from there.
“You can’t believe everything you see on the internet,” Gardner said. “You just can’t.”
NFL.com was one of the only places that had Gardner’s age correct, with NFL chief spokesman Brian McCarthy telling The Athletic that athletes “self-verify” their personal information.

“Clubs notify us of any incorrect birthdates that would have appeared on their college sites when a player signs,” he said. “Players also self-verify their birthdates and other personal information through a player portal.”
Gardner, who was drafted by the Jets with the No. 4 pick in 2022, is about to enter his fifth NFL season, with Gang Green sending him off to Indianapolis midseason last year.
Similar errors have happened in professional sports before, with NBA guard Buddy Hield playing three seasons in the league before people realized he was actually a year older than what was once believed.
Hield, who was on the Kings at the time, had the 3-point specialist listed at 25 despite him publicly celebrating his 26th birthday.
“That’s their fault, not my fault,” Hield later told NBC Sports. “The first time I saw it on Wikipedia, my mom said, ‘Why do they have your age wrong?’ I said, ‘I have no idea.’”
