All services of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, including the sale of unsold flats and plots across the State, will be transitioned entirely online, said Housing and Urban Development Minister P. Rajkumar on Wednesday.

At a review meeting on the operations and schemes of the housing board held at its headquarters, the Minister stated that transferring these services online would provide quick, transparent, and hassle-free access to the public. New plot developments, joint ventures, and commercial complexes would be brought to public use quickly, he added.

He reviewed the completed housing projects, plots and flats for sale, sale deeds to be issued to allottees, new schemes for the year, rental housing, revenue status, administration, new land acquisitions, and the budget allocations.

He asked officials to focus on the own house scheme for government servants, rebuilding tenements of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board through the housing board, and improving satellite town projects in Thirumazhisai, Uchapatti – Thoppur in Madurai, and Mullur in Pudukottai.

Housing and Urban Development secretary R. Kirlosh Kumar and Housing Board managing director S. Prabhakar were present at the meeting.
