Angel Reese keeps rewriting the WNBA record book.
Against bitter rival Caitlin Clark of the Fever, the Dream star became the fastest player in league history to reach 1,000 career rebounds, adding yet another milestone to a professional career that has been defined by relentless work on the boards.
The latest mark comes after Reese became the fastest player in WNBA history to hit 900 career rebounds earlier this season, continuing a record-setting rebounding pace that began during her rookie year with the Sky.
Less than two weeks ago, Reese had 17 points and 17 rebounds in a win over her former team, the Sky, for the 57th double-double of her career, which is the most by any player through their first 75 games in league history.
Reese, two years ago, became the first player in the WNBA to record 20 rebounds in two straight games, and the first rookie in the WNBA or NBA to do so since Shaquille O’Neal did it in 1993.
Reese, a two-time All-Star, led the WNBA in rebounds per game in each of her first two seasons.
This year, she’s averaging 12.2 boards a contest, which is more than anyone in the league.
Reese is also averaging 15.1 points and 2.9 assists for Atlanta, which is enjoying an excellent start to the 2026 season after acquiring the star forward from the Sky in exchange for two first-round picks.
After moving to 11-4 with the win over the Fever, the Dream have the best record in the Eastern Conference.
In Saturday’s victory, she had 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, eight rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block.
