Joe Rogan makes wild claim about UFC White House viewership

Everyone is waiting for UFC Freedom 250 viewership numbers, and Joe Rogan claims to have the inside scoop — no matter how outrageous the figure.

On the latest edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the enigmatic podcaster and UFC color commentator said that nearly half the country’s population watched the White House card.

“I don’t know what the total overall views are as of now, but I know that it was 150 million just by Monday,” Rogan said to guest Chase Hughes on the show. “So that’s like the night of, and then people that watched the replay that weren’t there when the fight took place because they heard about it.”

One-hundred-and-fifty million people is about 40 percent of the entire country’s population and would beat anything we’ve ever seen in terms of viewership of a sporting event — including the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 2025 had an obscene viewership of 127.7 million, the most of any sporting event in television history.

“Between [Monday] and now, it’s probably another 50 or 60 million people,” Rogan concluded.

This number is highly improbable for the event, given it was behind a paywall on Paramount+, whereas the Super Bowl is on cable television each year.

Paramount + had 79 million subscribers, as of earlier this year.

Many were upset that Paramount did not broadcast the White House card on CBS.

Perhaps Rogan was given a figure from the UFC that included YouTube clips and social media impressions.

Official numbers have not yet been released by Paramount, although their subscriber figure is said to have increased massively during the night of the fight.

Sports Business Journal reported that Paramount+ app downloads jumped 276 percent from their prior 30-day average, while daily active users rose 34 percent on the day of the card.

Rogan is not a reporter and is probably unfamiliar with how television audience figures are captured by tracking services.

At the UFC Freedom 250 post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White said he received a call from Paramount CEO David Ellison about the event’s success.

“I just got off the phone with David Ellison; he’s going crazy,” White told reporters. “I’ll let Paramount make their own announcement, but it was monstrous tonight. You don’t get calls from billionaires flipping out too often. He is extremely excited. I’ll let [Paramount] do their thing.”

An announcement from Paramount regarding viewership numbers is expected before the end of the week.

California’s raid on the rich passes major milestone as hated billionaire tax qualifies for ballot

California’s controversial billionaire tax measure has secured enough signatures and qualified to appear on the November ballot, according to the state’s secretary of state.

The measure — championed by the Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) — would levy a one-time 5% tax on the state’s ultra-rich whose assets exceed $1 billion.

If approved by voters in November, the measure would be the first of its kind in the country. It appears to have a viable path to passage, with one poll indicating that 54% of likely voters support the tax.

The results will be certified on June 25 alongside other election outcomes finalizing the November ballot. That means state leaders, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom, have about a week to try to negotiate the measure off the ballot and strike a deal with SEIU-UHW, which represents more than 120,000 healthcare workers, patients and consumers across California.

The group says the tax is needed to help close an estimated $100 billion healthcare funding gap created by recent federal spending cuts.

Under California law, the proponents of a citizen-initiated ballot measure have the right to withdraw their proposal even after it has gathered enough signatures to qualify for the ballot.

Thanks to a 2014 law, proponents of state statutes, constitutional amendments and veto referendums can officially pull their measure off the ballot as long as they do so at least 131 days before the general election.

Almost every time a qualified measure is removed from the ballot, it is because of a legislative compromise.

California’s proposed billionaire tax has awakened Silicon Valley giants. Wealthy tech moguls and crypto billionaires are flooding state politics with cash, backing rival ballot measures designed to kneecap the tax before it can take effect.

The high-stakes battle has transformed a tax fight into a broader showdown over who really calls the shots in Sacramento: organized labor or the billionaire class.

Leading the charge against the tax are some of California’s wealthiest tech figures, including Google co-founder Sergey Brin and crypto billionaire Chris Larsen, who have poured millions into committees backing a trio of rival ballot measures.

The proposals would make it far harder for Sacramento to impose retroactive taxes, tighten restrictions on how new tax revenue can be spent, and create legal hurdles that could undermine the billionaire tax even if voters approve it. Together, the measures form a coordinated effort to blunt one of the most ambitious wealth-tax proposals ever put before California voters.

Building a Better California, a well-funded coalition backed by tech and business interests, has thrown its weight behind competing ballot measures that could create legal and political obstacles for the billionaire tax if both make it to voters.

Earlier this year, one of the rival measures backed by the coalition secured enough signatures for a spot on the November ballot, raising the prospect of a head-to-head showdown with the billionaire tax.

The California Post has reached out to the coalition for comment, along with Newsom’s office. The Post has also reached out to Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton and Democratic candidate Xavier Becerra, both of whom oppose the tax and could very well face its consequences if elected governor, for comment.

Meanwhile, prediction markets favor the measure failing.

After briefly hitting a 61% chance of passage in January, the billionaire tax’s odds have fallen to 18% as of Wednesday morning, down from 40% just a week earlier on June 11.

The move marks a dramatic reversal on Polymarket, where traders are now pricing in sharply diminished odds of the measure becoming law as the 2026 election approaches and opposition spending intensifies

World Cup 2026: Harry Kane ‘greatest striker’ England has had, says Gary Lineker

England face Ghana in their second group game on 23 June at 21:00 BST.

Bayern Munich’s Kane gave England the lead with a retaken penalty early in the first half, before scoring a powerful header to restore his side’s lead three minutes before the break.

“I’m absolutely delighted that Kane equalled my record,” Lineker continued. “His all-round game is, for me, what separates him from all the others.”

Kane’s standout performance comes after Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick for Argentina against Algeria, Kylian Mbappe opened his account for France with two goals in the win over Senegal and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland also scored a brace in Norway’s victory against Iran.

Lineker’s co-host Alan Shearer, who scored 30 goals for England including two at the 1998 World Cup, said: “Harry Kane has seen Messi, Mbappe and Haaland all come on straight away and get the goals.

“It’s only a matter of time before he breaks your record.”

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, who was left out of England boss Thomas Tuchel’s squad for this summer’s tournament, said Kane is not just the Three Lions’ best player, he’s “one of the best players in the world”.

He added: “You can’t speak highly enough of him. On the pitch, he’s unbelievable, but, off the pitch, he’s a massive leader.”

‘DC Mamdani’ Janeese Lewis George wins Dem mayoral primary after Trump takeover threat

Democratic socialist DC Councilmember Janeese Lewis George triumphed in the District’s Democratic mayoral primary, easily defeating nine other competitors.

George, whose insurgent campaign and far-left platform led some to compare her to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, is now on a glide path to becoming the deep-blue capital’s first-ever socialist leader after her chief rival, Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie, conceded Thursday.

In a statement, McDuffie confirmed he had called George “to congratulate her on her victory and wish her success as she prepares for the general election.”

With an estimated 73% of the vote counted from Tuesday’s primary, George led McDuffie by 18.5 percentage points (52.9%-36.4%) and nearly 17,000 votes out of more than 102,000 ballots cast.

Kenyan McDuffie was widely seen as the top business-friendly Democrat in the mayoral primary.

George’s signature proposal is a universal child care program which caps parental out-of-pocket spending at 7% of household income. She has offered a vague plan to fund the program by closing tax loopholes and cutting wasteful city spending without raising taxes on the middle class.

She has also vowed to boost housing assistance programs, make buses free for those on food stamps, and pressure utility companies against raising rates.

Most controversially, George has called to “reform zoning laws” in order to build as many as 72,000 new dwellings — many of which will be multi-family, or higher density, units — over the next five years.

That pledge sits uneasily alongside her April purchase of a $1.19 million home in DC’s tony Manor Park neighborhood, 15 days after ranting in an op-ed that single-family zoning “preserves segregation and exacerbates displacement.”

George is proposing a spending spree as DC grapples with an eye-watering $1.1 billion budget deficit driven in part by federal layoffs under the second Trump administration. Outgoing Mayor Muriel Bowser has proposed a 3.6% spending cut to close the gap.

The presumptive mayor has also called for a more aggressive posture against the Trump administration, including by instructing the Metropolitan Police Department to stop cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

During her final term in office, Bowser had taken a conciliatory stance toward the White House, aggravating local progressives.

Trump, who has been on a mission to make DC “Safe and Beautiful” during his second term by embarking on a crime crackdown across the city and directing National Park Service dollars to restoring iconic monuments, has expressed misgivings about George.

“I wouldn’t like it,” Trump told reporters last week when asked about the possibility of her winning the primary. “Maybe we’ll take back Washington and run it on a federal basis. We won’t put up with it. We’re not going to lose our businesses.”

Last week, George was hit with $16,000 in fines by the District’s Office of Campaign Finance after authorities determined her campaign improperly colluded with an outside group — Safe & Affordable DC — and labor unions that dished out $1 million to back her.

Outside groups are allowed to support candidates and cut ads on their behalf only if they operate independently from their campaigns.

“OCF’s order is riddled with factual errors and violates procedural requirements that govern its investigations and other enforcement actions,” the George campaign alleged over the weekend.

“The Campaign will appeal the decision to the DC Board of Elections so that this targeted attack is not allowed to stand.”

Since gaining home rule in 1973, DC voters have elected seven mayors, all Democrats. Trump received just 6.5% of the vote in the nation’s capital in the 2024 election.

Mike Brown wears cheeky ’10 weeks’ shirt to Knicks’ title parade after James Dolan’s abstinence joke

Looks like Mike Brown liked the no sex joke.

The Knicks’ head coach wore a shirt alluding to James Dolan’s joke about abstention during the team’s 10-week NBA playoff run that culminated with the the ticker-tape parade Thursday.

Brown showed off the shirt after while joining in on a rendition of “Who Let the Dogs Out” with a nearby crowd Thursday morning, and was jumping for joy before boarding a bus.

His shirt is in reference to the Knicks’ owner’s 15-minute speech to the players before the playoffs about making sacrifices for 10 weeks to win a championship, including giving up sex.

“I had this idea that maybe you should give up sex for the next 10 weeks,” Dolan told the Knicks before the playoffs on April 3. “You don’t have to give up sex for the next 10 weeks, but like Spartans — do you know what Spartans are? — they denied themselves to gain an edge. Get the edge.”

Brown is not the first to reference the joke, which was released to the public Monday.

Mikal Bridges also joked about it on his NSFW Instagram live earlier in the week.

The Knicks hired Brown as Tom Thibodeau’s replacement in July 2025 due to his “championship pedigree.”

It’s safe to say it was the right choice as Brown led the Knicks to a 53-29 record during the regular season and one of the greatest NBA Playoff runs in history, winning 13 straight games during one stretch and the team’s first NBA Finals since 1953 when they downed the Spurs in five games.

US State Department warns Americans of growing security risks in historic region

American travelers in the Middle East are being urged to stay alert as US officials warn that security conditions remain volatile across the region, even as Washington, D.C., and Tehran move toward a tentative agreement aimed at easing the latest crisis.

The warning comes as US officials describe a draft agreement with Iran that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz, allow some Iranian oil sales to resume, and restart talks over Tehran’s nuclear program, as Fox News Digital has reported — developments that could ease some travel and energy disruptions if the deal holds.

The agreement, however, remains uncertain. US officials said Iran has not publicly released the draft language, and the arrangement would still leave major questions unresolved, including broader nuclear limits, sanctions relief, and whether the pause in hostilities can hold.

Even with the potential diplomatic movement, US officials are still urging Americans abroad to exercise increased caution, warning that airspace closures, demonstrations, and threats to locations associated with the United States could disrupt travel with little notice.

In an early June security alert, the US Embassy in Jerusalem said the security environment in the Middle East remains “complex” and could change quickly, urging Americans in the region to monitor breaking developments.

The embassy said the State Department’s Level 4 “Do Not Travel” warning remains in place for Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and Yemen, while Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” advisories remain in place for Bahrain, Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

An MH-60R Sea Hawk, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 79, departs from the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) during a Strait of Hormuz transit. USS Roosevelt (DDG 80)

The latest diplomatic movement could affect travelers because the Strait of Hormuz has been a major flashpoint in the region.

US officials said the draft agreement would allow toll-free passage through the strait for 60 days, while sanctions waivers would allow Iranian oil sales to resume temporarily, as Fox News Digital previously reported.

The advisories cover countries that are home to major cultural and tourist destinations, from UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Persepolis in Iran, Babylon in Iraq, Palmyra in Syria and the Old City of Sana’a in Yemen to popular stops in Level 3 countries, including Petra in Jordan, Jerusalem’s Old City and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

“Be aware of your surroundings,” the alert warned.

“Avoid all demonstrations and large gatherings.”

Americans in the affected countries were also urged to avoid areas with a heavy police presence, follow the instructions of local authorities and “keep a low profile.”

The State Department also advises Americans abroad to follow alerts from the nearest US embassy or consulate, confirm flights and routes directly with airlines and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, known as STEP, to receive security updates.

Notably, the release did not mention Egypt or Turkey, which both sit at Level 2, according to the State Department’s website.

The warning is one of many issued by US officials regarding travel this season.

In April, US officials advised Americans to reconsider traveling to Azerbaijan, a growing destination for adventure and cultural tourism. The country borders Russia, Georgia, Armenia and Iran.

The same month, the US Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago warned Americans to reconsider travel to the Caribbean nation.

Authorities say the Trinidad and Tobago advisory was spurred by “a spike in violent criminal activity that could threaten public safety.”

Brooklyn Beckham takes another jab at family in full DoorDash ad

Brooklyn Beckham took a fresh jab at his estranged parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in his full DoorDash World Cup advertisement.

In the original teaser released Monday, the 27-year-old nepo baby says “it’s a long story” about why he’s “watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home,” before he tosses World Cup tickets onto his coffee table.

The full commercial, which came out Wednesday, shows Brooklyn giving away the World Cup tickets to a DoorDash delivery driver.

“It’s not like I don’t have tickets. It’s because… it’s a long story,” he tells the camera while walking to his front door.

After handing the tickets over, Brooklyn tells the delivery driver, “These can go to… someone else.”

As the driver walks away, Brooklyn shouts, “Hey! Put them somewhere fun.”

The ad’s Instagram caption read, “Asked @doordash to go drop my FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets for you guys… happy hunting Follow @doordash’s account to see clues for where you can find them xx.”

In the comments, fans blasted Brooklyn for shading the former soccer player and Spice Girls alum.

“Umm for someone who keeps saying they don’t want to be associated with their family… sure likes to keep on making digs,” one fan wrote.

Another told Brooklyn, “If you don’t want anything to do with your parents… move on, unfortunately It happens, People will respect that…. But this? shows no class and immaturity.”

A different critic slammed Brooklyn for being “a bitter nepo crybaby,” while someone else called the ad “a bad move” and claimed Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, 27, was “behind it all.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for David, Victoria, Brooklyn and Peltz for comment.

David, 51, and Victoria, 52 — who starred in a Super Bowl ad for DoorDash’s competitor, Uber Eats, two years ago — attended the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between the US and Paraguay at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on June 12.

The couple were joined by their pal Tom Cruise in a star-studded suite.

That same day, David received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Victoria and their kids Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, were there to support the famous athlete.

Brooklyn and his wife skipped the event — despite living only 20 minutes away.

After the ceremony, Harper, 14, seemingly attempted to reconcile with her estranged brother when she was photographed arriving at Brooklyn and Peltz’s Los Angeles home.

But Harper didn’t end up seeing her brother, who was in New York at the time of his sister’s appearance.

A rep for the couple told Page Six, “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras.”

But a source insisted there was nothing orchestrated about Harper’s visit and that Victoria “is gutted” over the family drama.

“This has been so incredibly painful and confusing for them,” an insider said about the Beckham parents.

“They honestly don’t know where things went wrong or how the relationship got to this point.”

Husband of slain Alabama mom Ada Doss heard her heartbreaking last words on the phone before she was shot

A maniac heartlessly gunned down an Alabama nurse and mother of two young children as she walked to her car after work while on the phone with her husband, who heard her pleading for her life moments before she was shot.

“Please don’t. I have babies,” were the final terrified words spoken by Ada Doss, 27, a nurse manager at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, before Matthew Taylor allegedly shot her dead on May 12.

Taylor was dropped off at the hospital that day by a friend or family member, but authorities said he “never entered the hospital or the emergency room, but instead loitered on DCH’s campus for several hours,” according to AL.com.

Doss was walking to her car in the parking lot after finishing her shift when Taylor approached her, allegedly brandishing a handgun and demanding her keys.

She was talking on the phone with her husband, Andrew, at the time about their dinner plans and the nightly routines for their 6-month and 2-year-old-daughters.

Doss kept walking, but Taylor stalked her through the parking lot pointing the gun at her until she reached the vehicle, at which point he shot her one time, investigators said.

Matthew Taylor was dropped off at the hospital by a family member or friend because he said he needed help, but he never sought medical attention and instead loitered around the campus for hours, police said. Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office

Her heartbroken husband has since filed a wrongful death suit seeking unspecified damages against DCH Health Care and Universal Protection Services, which provides security services for the hospital, claiming negligence.

Taylor was arrested and charged with capital murder.
