A man arrested by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) with 900 gm of hash oil escaped from police custody at the Narsingi police station on Wednesday. The suspect, identified as Muzaffar, a resident of Attapur, was apprehended during a raid at Manikonda after EAGLE personnel found 900 gm of hash oil in his possession.
According to the police, the contraband was seized and the accused was handed over to the Narsingi police for registration of a case and further investigation.
Police said the suspect escaped after being taken into custody at the police station.
Senior police officials said multiple teams have been formed to trace and apprehend the accused. Further investigation is under way.
