Emma Raducanu is on a tennis high and a new man has followed into the picture.
The 23-year-old was recently spotted with PR expert John Friend, 32.
The two were seen walking a dog and holding hands before getting close on a bench in Battersea Park in South West London.
A witness told The Sun, “Emma and her man looked like they didn’t have a care in the world as they meandered through the crowds.They looked besotted with one another. You wouldn’t have thought that, hours earlier, she’d suffered a defeat on the court.
“Any disappointment looked like it had evaporated as they cuddled. They certainly didn’t seem to be self-conscious of being together and affectionate — and there were plenty of other people around.”
The moment came hours after Raducanu lost the final of the WTA 500 HSBC Championships to Donna Vekic 6-0, 7-6 (6).
Despite a tough first set, the British No. 1 saved three championship points in the second that led to a tiebreak, where she saved yet another and nearly forced a deciding set before succumbing to Vekic.
Raducanu was also coming into the final on tired legs.
Bad weather earlier in the tournament forced her to have a two-match day Saturday.
She took down both Kamilla Rakhimova and Iva Jovic, and ended up spending two hours and 19 minutes more on the court that day than Vekic.
Raducanu is left still chasing her first trophy since her 2021 US Open title that she stunningly won as a qualifier.
Raducanu will now turn her sights to Wimbledon, where she has reached the fourth round on two occassions.
As relationships go during demanding tennis calendar, Raducanu previously said her parents “were very much against as it interfered with training.”
Raducanu was once involved in dating rumors with Carlos Alcaraz, which was largely pushed by fans.
She previously dated 26-year-old Carlo Agostinelli from 2023-24.
