Six people — including four children — were found dead in an upstate New York apartment complex late Tuesday.
Police were called to the Mechanicville home in Saratoga County for a welfare check around 6:20 p.m. when they made the tragic discovery.
Neighbors were concerned after they had not seen a resident of the Harris Avenue apartment for several days, according to the Mechanicville Police.

The victims’ ages and identities have not been released and the investigation remains ongoing.
The cause and manner of death are also still under investigation.
Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.

“This is a tragic incident that has deeply affected our community,” Chief of Police Bill Rabbitt said. “Our thoughts are with the family members, friends, and all those impacted by this loss.”
