Bring in the Clowns.

From June 19-21, the Savannah Bananas are taking on the Indianapolis Clowns at Cincinnati’s Great American Ballpark.

If you’d like to be there, last-minute tickets are available to see the two clubs play their unique brand of banana ball and engage in hijinks at the Reds’ home field.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one game was $81 including fees on SeatGeek.

Their two other games start anywhere from $94 to $137 including fees.

Make sure to use promo code NYPOST10 for $10 off purchases over $250 at checkout (Editor’s Note: this discount is only valid for users’ first purchase on SeatGeek).

As Cincinnatians may recall, the Bananas visited the Great American Ballpark in 2025 and played a pair of contests against the Texas Tailgaters in front of sold-out crowds.

Former Reds Sean “The Mayor” Casey and Todd Frazier got in on the action, 14 trick plays were recorded and fans set a record (at the time) by catching five foul balls that resulted in outs.

“The crowd out there was incredible,” FOX 19 reported about the showdown in Cincy. “Everyone up on their feet their entire game…Banana Ball was unlike anything any of us had ever seen. Some crazy rules, someone stepping up to the plate on a unicycle, guys doing backflips in the outfield, throwing the ball between their legs to get an out…so much fun here in Bananaland.”

Plus, of course, you’ll be able to grab a cheese coney or three if you hit the stadium this weekend.

About the Savannah Bananas

After forming in 2016, the “exhibition barnstorming baseball team” made a name for themselves by embracing “exhibition” and “barnstorming” while halfway ditching “baseball.”

The team now plays Banana Ball which has quirky rules like fan-caught foul balls counting as outs, games not being allowed to exceed two hours in length and batters stealing first base.

Yet, still, that’s barely scratching the surface of the innovative game’s showmanship.

Simply put, we recommend following Savannah’s Instagram to see what craziness the entertaining team is up to. Be warned though- their clips are so fun you just might end up scrolling for hours.

Indianapolis Clowns

The Bananas aren’t the only attraction at Banana Ball games.

Their opponents, the Indianapolis Clowns, also bring fun, skill and loads of personality to the diamond.

They have quite a history, too. The Clowns originally played in the Negro Leagues starting in the 1930s up until 1989 and were known as the “Harlem Globetrotters of baseball.”

And, as a cherry on top, former World Series champion and Philadelphia Phillie Ryan Howard serves as a “Prime Time Coach.”
