Bad news for our favorite residents of Stars Hollow.

Yes, there has been online buzz about the status of the iconic series Gilmore Girls, and its place on Netflix. The show originally aired from 2000 to 2007 and followed Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), a mother and daughter navigating their lives in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

The show has taken on a new life, becoming a classic and gaining a new fanbase among Gen Z. All this to say, the persistent rumors that the show is being taken off the platform can’t be true, right?

Sadly… the rumors have been confirmed. Here’s where you can stream Gilmore Girls after it exits Netflix.

Is Gilmore Girls Leaving Netflix?

Unfortunately, it’s true. After 14 years on the streaming service, Netflix has announced that Gilmore Girls will no longer call Netflix home.

When Is The Gilmore Girls Netflix Expiration Date?

In a post on X, Netflix confirmed the unfortunate news: “We are sorry to say that Gilmore Girls Season 1-7 will be leaving Netflix in the US on June 30. Raising a cup of coffee to every fan who visited Stars Hollow with us.”

Is Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life leaving Netflix?

Brace yourself. Yes, it’s true. The 2016 continuation of the series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, will also be leaving Netflix this year.

However, fans still have until November 25 to stream all four episodes of the mini-series that depicts Lorelai and Rory almost ten years after the series finale.

The news of the revival’s removal might be surprising considering it’s a Netflix original, but all of the Gilmore Girls IP is owned by Warner Bros. So, the show was only co-produced by Netflix and given 10 years of streaming. Netflix and Warner Bros. failed to extend their agreement for licensing the series, so it will likely find a home at HBO Max sometime in the near future.

Where to Watch Gilmore Girls After It Leaves Netflix:

Good news! All seasons of the original series are streaming on Hulu!

Is Gilmore Girls on Disney Plus?

Yes! You can also stream the entire series on Disney Plus.

Disney+ offers a number of subscription options, so you can find the one that works for you. With ads, a subscription costs $11.99/month; without ads, it’s $18.99/month or $189.99/year.

There are also Disney+ bundles with Hulu, HBO Max, and ESPN+, so you can subscribe to up to three services at once and save over 40% every month. The bundles are available in a few different configurations, starting at $11.99/month for Disney+ and Hulu with ads, and going up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max ad-free.
