Hubballi all set to host Maharaja Trophy T-20 tournament from today

The KSCA stadium at Rajnagar in Hubballi, is all set to host the Maharaja Trophy T-20 cricket tournament from Saturday and KSCA Dharwad Zone has made seating arrangements for 8,000 spectators.

Addressing presspersons in Hubballi, convenor of KSCA Dharwad Zone and former Mayor Viranna Savadi spoke about the arrangements. The entry for general public will be from Gate 3 and 4 and tickets will be priced at ₹200 and ₹150, respectively.

Mr. Savadi said that the first gate will be for the entry of players, KSCA staff and BCCI officials.

The sponsors will be allowed to enter from Gate 3 and there will be free entry for 300 members of Hubballi-Dharwad cricket clubs from Gate 5.

To a query, Mr. Savadi said that requisite arrangements have been made to address any rain-related issues. Along with tarpaulin, additional super sopper machines will be deployed and there will be 50 ground staff, he said.

He said that six matches of the tournament will be played under floodlights and they have already replaced the old lamps with LED lamps.

Arrangements for drinking water have been made and public toilets have been erected for the use of spectators, he said.

Governing council member of Maharaja Trophy A.V. Shashidhar said that after the online sale of tickets started on June 16, they have sold tickets worth ₹33,000. Spectators can also purchase tickets at the entry gates, he said.
