Major reforms planned in higher education sector in Thrissur: Roji M. John

Higher Education Minister Roji M. John has said that consultations are under way to bring about major changes in the higher education sector in Thrissur, which he described as Kerala’s education hub. Speaking after being accorded a reception at the District Congress Committee (DCC) office on his first visit there on Sunday after assuming charge as Higher Education Minister, Mr. John said the UDF government was committed to modernising the State’s higher education sector to meet the demands of changing times.

He said the government was holding discussions on measures to strengthen higher education institutions in Thrissur and enhance their academic standards. DCC president Joseph Tajet welcomed the Minister by draping him with a shawl.
