Former Seahawks star Marshawn Lynch delivered a hype speech before Friday’s World Cup match between the USA and Australia at Lumen Field.

Lynch made an appearance on “The Men in Blazers Show,” where he discussed the highly touted clash at the stadium he called home for seven seasons of his NFL career.

“This is how I see it. They done caused an earthquake already. We just want to make sure that the building stays put together, because I think if they get loud enough, I think they can bring that mother—— down for sure. That should be the goal. Let’s see if we can bring that thing down. They get lit,” Lynch said of the American fans.

The crowd responded to Lynch’s speech with loud cheers as World Cup fans gathered outside of Lumen Field for pregame festivities.

“Anything is possible, you just gotta believe. Seattle is gonna keep it lit,” Lynch added.

Lynch is one of several NFL stars to lean into the crossover between American football and European football as the World Cup has created a newfound interest of soccer in the U.S.

The decisive matchup between USA and Australia should be interesting as head coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed star Christian Pulisic won’t play with a calf injury. Ricardo Pepi got the start in Pulisic’s place as Seattle is packed with World Cups fans for the match.

While Australia is the underdog, the team has gained some momentum with USA’s loss of its best player. Regardless, the match has breathed life into the streets of Seattle.
