Some two million bees escaped after an 18-wheeler carrying beehives crashed in Texas.

Photographs from the scene shared by Queen Bee Supply show beekeepers frantically trying to corral the vast swarms of bees loudly buzzing around the overturned truck in Mauriceville on Sunday.

Local officials had put out the call to all local beekeepers to help with the chaotic cleanup, KBTX reported.

“Not something you ever want to see, but so nice to see beekeepers helping beekeepers.  From commercial outfits to backyard beekeepers, grateful for everyone that came out and helped,” the company wrote in a social media post.

Orange County Emergency Services warned local residents to stay indoors as crews worked to move the beehives from the wrecked semi to other transport vehicles, according to KOGT.

The truck was hauling 50,000 pounds of bees when it overturned.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as crews work to safely resolve this incident,” the agency said in a statement.

No injuries were reported. However, one photographer from Beaumont-based news outlet KDFM was stung.
