For just the fourth time in their respective histories, the Netherlands and Japan are meeting on the pitch.

This time around, Virgil van Dijk’s club is going head-to-head with Wataru Endo’s squad in a Group Stage rematch of the 2010 World Cup today at Dallas, TX’s AT&T Stadium.

Back then, Netherlands came out on top 1-0 and, this year, they’re slim favorites again.

Yet, Japan can’t be counted out. Ranked 18th by FIFA, they’ve taken down powerhouses Germany, Spain, Brazil and England over the past few years under head coach Hajime Moriyasu’s tutelage.
