Mindy Kaling’s new hit series Not Suitable For Work just released the final two episodes of Seaosn 1 on Hulu. In a classic Kaling move, Episodes 8 and 9 are both holiday episodes, signifying the end of the season as also the end of the year for these characters.

The episodes continue with the aftermath of Josh’s (Jack Martin) fallout with his dad, Davis (Will Angus) finding out about AJ’s (Ella Hunt) new relationship, Abby (Avantika Vandanapu) looking for a new client, and more.

Throughout the series, there have been multiple high-profile guest stars, including Gigi Hadid, Victor Garber, Constance Wu, Ego Nwodim, and Judy Gold. In the finale, TV personalities and podcast hosts Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner make a surprise appearance as themselves.

Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are best friends and former Summer House stars. The two both left the series for varying reasons; mostly to focus on themselves and their own career aspirations. In 2020, the two launched a podcast called The Giggly Squad, where they discuss pop culture, mental health, dating, and fashion. They also co-authored a bestseller titled How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously.

In a Deadline exclusive, it was revealed the two besties have been working on a half-hour scripted comedy series with Netflix. The series is currently untitled but will star DeSorbo and Berner as fictional versions of themselves, and is set in New York. It will be executive produced by SNL and sitcom alum Amy Poehler.

In the season finale of Not Suitable For Work, DeSorbo and Berner share the screen with Garber, Martin, and Gold. The two play themselves hosting a New Year’s Eve Special entitled Hannah & Paige Drop the Ball. The scene was pure comedy gold as Wes tried to keep up with their younger sense of humor. However, with the help of Paula and Josh, Wes was eventually able to make a few jokes of his own. The storyline not only marked the resolution of the conflict between Josh and his father, but it also solidified a bond between Josh, Wes, and Paula.
