The stars were out in Seattle to witness the U.S. men’s national team take on Australia in Friday’s World Cup match.

Former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson returned to Lumen Field with his wife, singer and songwriter Ciara to watch the showdown. The star-studded duo got on the pitch for the coin toss.

Marshawn Lynch, a former teammate of Wilson’s, captured pictures of the game as a photographer on the sidelines and later viewed the contest as a spectator from a suite.

Soccer stars Alex Morgan and Trinity Rodman were also in attendance.

Rodman, a member of the U.S. women’s national soccer team, brought out the match ball for USA’s showdown against Australia. The 24-year-old was selected as one of three faces for Adidas’ World Cup marketing in 2026.

Rodman joined England’s Jude Bellingham, Spain’s young star Lamine Yamal and A-list actor Timothée Chalamet in the brand’s flagship commercial.

The Washington Spirit wing has emerged as a central figure in the sport of soccer, and her presence at the highly touted World Cup match Friday highlighted her impact.

The U.S. men’s national team has gotten off to an incredible start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, cementing its dominance over its Group D opponents with a 2-0 win over Australia. Despite losing Christian Pulisic to injury, the squad started the scoring early and never looked back.

Now, the USMNT has advanced to the knockout stage. If Paraguay defeats Türkiye on Friday, the U.S. will be in first place of Group D. Regardless, the team has a plus-5 goal differential over its opponents.

The Americans have scored a total of six goals in their first two games of the tournament with one game remaining in the group stage.
