Simone Biles is blocking out the naysayers while in vacation mode.
The 11-time Olympic medalist clapped back at an Instagram comment, questioning why Biles is on vacation in Belize with husband — and Colts safety — Jonathan Owens after enduring a near-death health scare in the beginning of June.
“Almost died but look at these traveling selfies,” the user wrote, per People, on the Instagram post Tuesday, while adding three laughing emojis.
Biles didn’t respond until two days later.
“Ugh these comments make me sad. a little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently, and this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here,” she wrote.
“I hope you understand that life changing experiences can shift your perspective. & that you’re able to extend a little more grace to others moving forward have a nice day!” she concluded.
Biles has since removed all comments from the Instagram post.
On June 6, she shared an Instagram story about the health scare, writing that “almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card.”
The 29-year-old shared photos of her hospital bracelets and an image of her bed with a heart rate measurement that read 126 beats per minute.
It remains unclear if the health scare had to do with her heart.
Biles deemed it “one of, if not the scariest experience of my life”, especially since Owens was away for practice in Indianapolis.

Biles’ response to the Instagram user isn’t the first she’s written to a follower since the medical emergency.
Prior to her trip to Belize, a user called her out for not sharing more information in a comment on her Instagram video detailing her upcoming vacation.
Biles simply responded she wasn’t “ready” to speak on the experience just yet.
The couple recently wrapped up their trip and by Monday Biles shared Instagram stories from Hong Kong.
After the long travel day, she shared photos from a relaxing time at the spa featuring a candlelit bath with a mimosa and later a massage.
