A two-day Kukkarahalli Kere Habba to celebrate the lake’s ecology, heritage and bio-diversity began at Kukkarahalli Lake on Saturday.

Jointly organised by Water Forum Mysuru, Mysore School of Architecture, Ananya Outreach, Bengaluru Sustainability Forum and the University of Mysore, the Kukkarahalli Kere Habba features an exhibition of photographs, bird watch and tree watch activities.

A painting competition on the theme ‘Landscape and Biodiversity of Kukkarahalli Lake’ is scheduled to be held between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sunday as part of the Kere Habba.
