
Vice President Vance said the newly announced Iran agreement calls for the Strait of Hormuz to reopen immediately and is designed to ensure Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon, with further negotiations on the issue expected over the next 60 days. Vance described the framework as a “win-win” for the United States and said the next phase depends on Iran’s willingness to cooperate. He added that the coming months will determine whether Tehran is serious about permanently dismantling its nuclear program.
