The Warriors selected Yaxel Lendeborg with the No. 11 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-9 wing is considered one of the most NBA-ready players in the draft. He will be 24 when training camp starts in September.
Lendeborg, who graduated from Michigan, was an NCAA champion, a first-team All-American and the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2026.
The Warriors, who won four championships in eight years from 2015-2022 before missing the playoffs two of the last three seasons, are trying to extend Steph Curry’s championship window.
Lendeborg adds skill and size to a roster that is in win-now mode behind Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.
The combo forward is a versatile scorer, defensive-minded and has a 7-foot-4 wingspan. The Warriors will look to use him as a secondary playmaker on a team that needs more youth and depth.
This is the first lottery pick the Warriors have had since 2021 when they selected Jonathan Kuminga at No. 7. The Warriors also have the 54th pick in the 2026 draft.
