Tennis legend Serena Williams is back at Wimbledon!
Williams is expected to play her first professional singles match after four years. Earlier this month she made her official return to tennis at Queen’s Club playing doubles alongside 19-year-old Victoria Mboko.
Williams has 23 Grand Slam titles, with seven singles titles at Wimbledon. Although her initial return was with doubles — which she is expected to play alongside her sister Venus Williams later this week— she also received a wild card entry for the singles draw.
Fans are ecstatic to see her return to the tennis world. Despite not officially calling her leave a retirement, she has not played at Wimbledon since 2022. Her last Wimbledon win was in 2016, and she currently holds a 98-14 record.

Who is Maya Joint? All About the 20-Year-Old Australian Playing Against Serena:

Serena told BBC TV about her preparation going into the match with Joint, “It’s been a very easy retransition. I’m back in the house that I stay in [for] several years,” she revealed.
