Woman electrocuted a day after sister-in-law’s wedding, family plunges into grief

A 23-year-old married woman was electrocuted while drying wet clothes at her house in Boregaon village of Sarangapur mandal in Nirmal district on Friday.

The tragedy struck just a day after her sister-in-law’s wedding, leaving the bereaved family and relatives devastated.

The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Rekha, a resident of Boregaon village. She met with a tragic end barely four months after her marriage, sources said.

Rekha reportedly came into contact with a live electric wire while hanging wet clothes on the terrace of her house on Friday afternoon. She died on the spot. The Sarangapur police have registered a case and taken up an investigation.
