The 20-year-old youth from Uttar Pradesh who has been arrested on the charge of having links with terror outfits and Pakistan has been sent to 10 days in police custody.
Suhail was arrested by the Harihar Rural Police from Bannikod in Harihar taluk on the charge of having links with terror outfits and Pakistan.
The police sought his custody for further questioning in connection with the case and the Harihar Principal Civil and JMFC Court has granted 10 days police custody.
Having taken him to custody, the police have begun further investigation. The mobile phone recovered from him is being sent to Forensic Science Laboratory.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Suhail came to Harihar two weeks ago and was into a painting job. However, his mobile phone has given several shocking details, including Pakistan telephone numbers.
Sources have said that Suhail’s posts on social media revealed an anti-India mindset and the police have found several audio files on his mobile phone that pertain to discussions on carrying out terror acts at various places in the country.
Preliminary investigation has revealed Suhail is a member of various WhatsApp groups that discuss carrying out acts of terror. The police have also found Suhail’s photographs in which he is seen posing with various arms.
