Andhra University (AU) and the Andhra Pradesh Education & Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation (APEWIDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday to strengthen collaboration in the development of educational infrastructure and technical cooperation.
The agreement was signed at the office of the Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar. Registrar K. Rambabu signed the MoU on behalf of the university, while APEWIDC Chief Engineer B.S.V.S. Varaprasad represented the corporation.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will jointly undertake initiatives relating to the development of infrastructure in educational institutions, coordination of construction projects, technical support, and programmes aimed at strengthening the education sector. Officials said the partnership is expected to accelerate the execution of future infrastructure projects on the university campus.
The collaboration also seeks to facilitate the creation of quality infrastructure, provide a better academic environment for students, and support the government’s educational development initiatives.
