Bishwanath Sinha takes charge as Kerala Chief Secretary

Senior bureaucrat Bishwanath Sinha assumed charge as the Chief Secretary of Kerala at a function held at Darbar Hall in the Secretariat on Tuesday. The 1992-batch IAS officer took over from A. Jayathilak, who retired as the State Chief Secretary on Tuesday.

The State government accorded a farewell to the outgoing Chief Secretary at a function held at Darbar Hall. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty were present on the occasion. Additional Chief Secretary Rajan N. Khobragade also retired from service.

The Chief Minister presented the State government’s mementos to the retiring officers. Mr. Sinha had been serving as the Home Secretary before being elevated to the post of Chief Secretary. He has two years of service remaining.
