The Television Critics Association unveiled its full list of nominations for the prestigious 2026 TCA Awards today and HBO Max‘s Heated Rivalry, HBO’s Industry, and Apple TV‘s Widow’s Bay lead the field with five nominations apiece. The TCA Awards are voted upon by a a group of more than 220 professional TV critics (including DECIDER team members Meghan O’Keefe, Nicole Gallucci, and Hope Sloop) and have a recent streak of nailing future Emmy winners months in advance. The Pitt, Shogun, Hacks, Baby Reindeer, and Adolescence are all recent examples of series that dominated at the TCA Awards and then went on to take home Emmys in the fall.
The TCA awards don’t distinguish between male or female performers, choosing to honor the best acting in drama and comedy on TV in a given year. This year, both of Heated Rivalry‘s breakout stars, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, have received nominations in the hyper-competitive Individual Achievement in Drama Category. Last year’s winner Noah Wyle is also there, along with Pluribus‘s Rhea Seehorn, DTF St. Louis‘s David Harbour, Paradise‘s Sterling K. Brown, Wyle’s The Pitt co-star Katherine LaNasa, and Industry‘s Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, and Myha’la.
The Individual Achievement in Comedy category is equally stacked, with Hacks stars Hannah Einbinder and Jean Smart (2021 and 2024 winner), Widow’s Bay‘s Matthew Rhys and Kate O’Flynn, Shrinking‘s Harrison Ford, Margo’s Got Money Problems‘s Elle Fanning, The Comeback‘s Lisa Kudrow, and The Chair Company‘s Tim Robinson.
In addition to celebrating shows by genre, the TCA Awards also honor the best Program of the Year as well as Outstanding New Program. Two new categories were launched this year: Outstanding Achievement in Animation and Outstanding International Series. TCA Award winners will be announced later this summer.
