One of the persons arrested by the Mattancherry police on Monday (June 29) in connection with an alleged skirmish in a bar had reportedly participated in a meeting convened by K. Sudhakaran, MP, in connection with Operation Toofan.
The arrested was identified as Shibu of Mattancherry. Visuals of him seated in the front rows of the meeting held on Monday have emerged since his arrest. The alleged skirmish in the bar took place on the same day around 2.30 p.m.
Allegedly, Shibu along with an accomplice, Shihab, assaulted a person following an argument at the bill counter. The injured is undergoing treatment at the Ernakulam General Hospital.
