Sai Krishna case: mother approaches court seeking judicial probe

G. Vijaya Lakshmi, mother of Gade Sai Krishna (25) who allegedly died in police custody, filed a petition in the court seeking judicial probe into the incident.

She urged the court to order a judicial probe into the alleged wrongful confinement, custodial torture, murder and screening of evidence by the accused Circle Inspector, S.S.V.V. Nagaraju.

The court posted the matter to June 29.

In a related development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is probing the case filed a petition in the court seeking custody of Mr. Nagaraju. The court adjourned hearing on the petition to June 30.
