Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott Eastwood, is back at it again with a new World War II movie, Lucky Strike, opening in movie theaters this weekend.
Directed by Israeli filmmaker Rod Lurie (The Contender, The Outpost), with a screenplay written by Lurie and Mark Frydman, Lucky Strike stars the younger Eastwood as American soldier named John Castle, who is wounded during the infamous Battle of the Bulge in WWII, and finds himself trapped behind enemy lines in Germany. All he has are his wits and his Motorola SCR-300 radio to help him evade the Nazis and find his way home.
Also starring fellow nepo baby Colin Hanks and Academy Award-nominated actress Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Lucky Strike sounds like the perfect dad movie. Why didn’t they release it last weekend, for Father’s Day?
If you’re curious about the film but don’t feel like making the trip to your local movie theater, then read on to find out where and when we expect to see the Lucky Strike movie on streaming.
Where to watch the Scott Eastwood movie Lucky Strike:
For now, Lucky Strike will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, June 26. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Lucky Strike is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Lucky Strike movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?
Lucky Strike is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible Lucky Strike may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be any time soon. Lucky Strike is not a Netflix original—it’s a small, independent film being distributed by Roadside Attractions.
You will be able to purchase Lucky Strike on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Lucky Strike for free on Prime Video any time soon, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Lucky Strike movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.
When will Lucky Strike movie release on digital?
Lucky Strike movie digital release date has not yet been announced. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we might see Lucky Strike on video-on-demand, based on the digital release of previous films from Roadside Attractions.
Another Roadside Attractions movie, A Great Awakening, was released on digital platforms about one month after opening in theaters. If Lucky Strike follows a similar pattern, you might seethe movie on video-on-demand in about one month, around late July 2026. That said, other Roadside movies have taken two months to come to digital, so you might be waiting until August.
After A Great Awakening releases on digital, we expect to see the movie streaming on Hulu. Previously, Roadside Attractions had a “Pay 1” output deal with Hulu. But none of the 2026 Roadside movies have gone on to stream on Hulu, so it seems that deal is no longer in effect.
If you want to see A Great Awakening right away, you can catch the movie in a theater.
