A 21-year-old two wheeler rider was killed after a tree branch fell on him in Idukki on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Pranav, a resident of Chemmannu near Peerumade.
The incident occurred on the Chemmannu–Elappara route near Kuttikkanam. According to sources, Pranav and his friend, Akash, were traveling on the two-wheeler when a tree branch collapsed onto them near the Kuthi Valavu.
Pranav was rushed to the Peerumade Taluk Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. His friend escaped unhurt. The body has been shifted to the hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination.
