Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has created a new record by announcing the results of the sixth semester engineering exam just five minutes after the exam ended.
The results were jointly released by VTU Vice-Chancellor S. Vidyashankar and Registrar (Evaluation) U.J. Ujwal.
A total of 60,856 students appeared for the BE and BTech sixth semester exams. The exam concluded at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday (June 30), and the results were announced at 5.35 p.m. Compared to previous years, the entire evaluation process was completed 21 days earlier. A total of 76.84% results have been recorded.
Recently, the results of 56,000 final-year students were announced within 10 minutes of exam completion. In 2025, results of 50,321 students were announced within an hour. For the sixth semester, in 2024-25, results of 58,232 students were announced within 10 days of exam completion.
Mr. Vidyashankar said, “Students wait eagerly for their results. Hence, we decided to announce them as quickly as possible. With proper preparation, we released the results immediately.”
Mr. Ujwal said, “We adopted digital evaluation and prepared well to announce results quickly.”
