Welcome to Wyndham Clark’s redemption tour.
A year ago, Clark walked out of the U.S. Open as golf’s Public Enemy No. 1 after losing his $#&t and taking it out on an innocent locker inside the venerable Oakmont Country Club’s locker room.
Overcome with frustration from the way he had finished that U.S. Open, Clark smashed up his locker like Keith Moon from The Who trashing a hotel room on the road.
A year after LockerGate — perhaps much to the chagrin of the Oakmont membership — Clark is in the driver’s seat to win his second U.S. Open in four years … and perhaps gain back some public goodwill.
