A bear wandering near SS Gundlu village in Sri Sathya Sai district has safely returned to the forest and there is no cause for concern at present, according to a social media post by the officials of H.A.N.U.M.A.N. (Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife) Project.
It was stated that, as a precautionary measure, the Forest department personnel conducted awareness programmes in Singepalli village and Melavoi gram panchayats under Madakasira beat of Penukonda range. They educated the residents on safety protocols during wildlife movement and advised them against entering forest areas alone. The situation is being closely monitored and necessary measures have been taken to ensure public safety while protecting wildlife, the Forest officials said.
