As Mexico’s Fan Fest at Parque Fundidora reached full capacity, ahead of their Knockout Round of 32 against Ecuador, chaos was unleashed on the fans.

Fans were seen being attacked by Mexico’s Civil Force as they were trying to sneak into the event.

Before the event began, videos started to emerge of fans attempting to climb over the gates and sneak into the Fan Fest watch party. As the number of fans sneaking into the event rapidly increased, Civil Force took matters into their own hands by spraying pepper spray at them.

After they started spraying the gas, the fans quickly scattered back in fear, resulting in multiple women falling to the ground and being trampled as they were blinded by the gas.

At the end of the video, one Mexico fan was seen attempting to pour water into a woman’s eyes to help her recover from the spray.

As the group was dispersed from overcrowding the gates at the party, more videos started to emerge of fans helping one another, while arguing with the Civil Force group for their actions.

Throughout the World Cup, Mexico’s Fan Fest has been one of the most popular watch parties to take place, as it has consistently overfilled and sold out.

Hours before Tuesday night’s game began, fans were seen outside dancing, jumping, and partying as they awaited seeing Mexico play.

On Monday night, the Mexico fans were seen partying outside of the Ecuador team’s hotel in an attempt to keep the players from getting a full night’s rest.

During the group stages, Mexico performed as one of the best teams in FIFA as they went 3-0, compiling six goals.
